Lineages are ALIVE

You cannot be disconnected from you lineages. Neither the unhelpful aspects nor the gifts. In our age we have experienced separation and disconnection as a feeling. But think about it. It is not possible. Any more than it is possible for a wave to be separated from the sea. The ancestors that came before us, the earth, the myths and stories. We don’t need to be consciously aware of them in order for them to shape us and our lives.

The deeper layers of your being, of your body, hold the memories. The doors to those memories may seems to be closed, access denied. But when you are ready and willing the key will appear. And the places that need some tenderness and care, as well as the gifts and treasures that have been hidden there, will be revealed.

In my experience, lineages send us little winks and nudges in both challenging and beautiful ways as a guide to help us remember - re-member - which is the antidote for the feeling of separation.

To work with lineage is to work with what exists in your life right now, revealing itself through patterns of emotions, thoughts, relationships, events and symbols. That is the way in. 

We start where we are. 

As the patterns and templates shift in the energetic and subtle realms, the world around us and our experience of life can change. What was stuck can unravel. What seemed impossible, now possible. Dreams long since laid to rest are enchanted to life once again.

As we change, our lineages change. Our stories and myths take on new life affirming meanings. Our genetic expression changes. Our bodies listen.

And I believe these ripples move out through space and time. In 2022 the Nobel Peace Prize for physics was given to three scientist who confirmed that the universe is not locally real. That “things” can effect other “things” that are not in their local surroundings.

Having worked in the realms of feminine wisdom I have learned to embrace paradox, so I would go further and suggest that the universe is both local AND non-local. Imagine the effects this has in lineage work. As you do the subtle work with what arises in your life and your lineage patterns, your immediate surroundings and relationships take a new shape. But imagine how this can ripple out in ways we cannot conceive.

And I will go further again and say that it may only be a matter of “time” until we “prove” the same is true of time. That time is linear and also, all at once. Like the truth of the whole oak tree exists within the seed. Complete. Whole. And in this realm, linear time allows a process for that truth to be experienced. So for me, the work we do in our own lives, today, has an effect throughout time.

From this perspective the power and beauty we hold is a gift, firstly to ourselves but also beyond our own life in ways we can barely comprehend.

And it can be really playful, fun and fulfilling.. It is not without challenges but when working within this framework there is a sense of being held and supported. Of beauty and purpose.
